What's up? Josh here. The new iPhones are out, and each year I like to talk about some of my favorite accessories that I actually use. Whether it's cases, chargers, screen protectors—all of that stuff we're going to cover today.

Some of these accessories I wish I found sooner. All of the links will be down below in the description. Just go down there if you see something that you like.

TORRAS FlexLine 67W retractable USB-C charger

TORRAS FlexLine 67W Fast Charger

My fast charger of choice, with a built-in retractable cable that makes things a whole lot easier.

First up, I have my fast charger of choice. This is the TORRAS FlexLine 67-watt fast charger.

This year, the iPhone 18 Pro gets a ridiculous 60 watts of fast-charging speed. Last year with the 17 Pro at 40 watts, you could go from 0 to 50% in about 20 minutes. This year with the 18 Pro, that time is cut down to just 15 minutes. With this charger, you're really able to take advantage of that faster charging speed.

The really cool thing with this one is the built-in retractable cable. It just makes things a whole lot easier. I've found that sometimes I plug my phone in, my phone's at 20%, I go and do some chores, maybe wash some dishes, come back, and my phone is already at 80%. Which is just crazy.

Matador Pouch

My personal charging kit comes with me when I'm working from a café or traveling abroad.

Usually this charger actually lives in this pouch. This is my personal charging kit that I've put together over the years. It comes with me in my backpack when I'm working from a café, and also in my luggage when I'm traveling abroad.

What's inside my travel kit? In addition to my FlexLine charger, I also have this.

Anker MagGo UFO 3-in-1 foldable wireless charging station

Anker UFO Charger

All I need to charge my phone, watch, and earbuds in a compact travel setup.

This is the Anker UFO charger. It's a really fun name, and it's super portable as well. Basically, this is all I need to charge my phone, watch, and earbuds.

When I get to my destination, I simply grab my FlexLine charger and plug in my UFO charger. The UFO charger unfolds like this, and now I have a really simple nightstand setup for charging overnight. The UFO charger supports Qi2 up to 15 watts. It's just a really fantastic little compact travel setup.

Coiled Statik MagStack Slim Pro magnetic USB-C cable

Statik MagStack Slim Pro

It coils itself up, so I don't have to deal with a messy cable in my pouch.

The one thing I added this year to my travel charging kit is the Statik MagStack Slim Pro. It's a flat charging cable that coils itself up like so. It's super portable and feels well built.

The max-rated speed on this cable is 100W, which is more than enough to charge a laptop. I used to think these were kind of gimmicky—do you really need a magnetic cable? But if you're somebody who prioritizes organization like I am, it makes it really compact and organized. You just put this into your pouch, and you don't have to deal with a messy cable.

Black Matador Global Travel Adapter

Matador Global Travel Adapter

I've brought this adapter to Europe three times over the past two years.

The final thing that I will sometimes throw in my charging kit is the Matador Global Travel Adapter. I've actually been to Europe three times over the past two years, and every single time I've brought this adapter with me. After testing a few out—one from Amazon and another one—I found this one to be the most reliable and to work the best.

You've got plugs for the EU, UK, US, or Australia, two USB-C ports, one of which has power delivery technology, three USB-A ports, and an AC pass-through outlet for you to plug in an accessory from your home country.

I think this one is solid. With the other ones, I had trouble with the USB-C ports somehow not supporting my accessories. But with this one, with power delivery, it just somehow works. That is basically my charging setup, and it just goes right into my backpack.

Anker Prime 20,100mAh Power Bank

Most people won't need this, but it's invaluable for café work, camping, and filmmaking.

What else is in this backpack? There is one other thing that I will sometimes bring with me. Here it is. To be honest, most people won't need this. It's big. It's bulky. Not really necessary for daily use. However, I do have three very specific use cases where I've found this to be invaluable.

Number one: working from a café. Whether it's editing or taking a call, with this battery, I don't have to worry about sitting near an outlet or finding a coffee shop that has an outlet. I can easily get double the battery life out of my MacBook Pro.

Number two: camping. This battery can charge my phone four times from 0 to 100%. That's enough for me and a partner, which really makes this battery perfect to take on a two-night camping trip.

Number three: filmmaking. During my day-in-the-life video, I had my camera mounted to the windshield for my talking-head shot. My camera was plugged into this battery, which allowed it to run the entire day.

It's also got a display to show how many watts you're pulling, and you can charge three devices at the same time with a max output of 140 watts.

You can also get this battery with the optional charging base, which is really convenient because you can just plop it onto the base to keep the battery topped off. That way, when you need it, you can just grab it, and when you come home, put it back on the base. There's also a few USB outlets on the side. I've actually put this in my garage. It's perfect for a little charging hub for smaller electronics and garage tools.

Black Anker Nano 10,000mAh 3-in-1 power bank with built-in USB-C cable and foldable wall plug

Anker Nano 10,000mAh 3-in-1 Power Bank

I keep coming back to this one for its built-in cable and built-in wall charger.

What about a battery that's a little more practical than this? Something I've been using over the past four years is this guy: the Anker 3-in-1 portable battery bank. I've been using this for four years at this point. I literally have a bin full of portable chargers, so why do I keep coming back to this guy? There's really three main reasons.

Number one: no MagSafe. I find that when I'm out and about, MagSafe charging is less efficient, slower, and creates unnecessary heat on my phone. If I'm out and about, I want my charging to be fast, and I also don't want my phone to get hot. This charger doesn't use MagSafe.

Number two: built-in USB-C cable. The last thing I want when I take a portable battery with me is to forget the cable or have to worry about having that cable. This one is built in and doubles as a carrying strap.

Number three: built-in wall charger. Most of the time when I need my portable charger, I find they're just dead. They're at 0% because I forgot to plug them in. This one has a built-in AC plug, so immediately when I get home after using it, I can just plug it straight into the wall, and it's ready to go for my next time.

Over the past four years, this is the battery that I've personally used. It really is the best one to carry around.

Nomad Stand One Max fourth-generation charging station in Carbide

Nomad Stand One Max

What lives on my nightstand for my phone, Apple Watch, and earbuds.

Rounding out the final charging item on my list, we have the Nomad Stand One Max. This is essentially what lives on my nightstand. It's perfect for my phone, Apple Watch, and earbuds.

It is quite expensive, but I think this is a buy-it-for-life item. It looks extremely clean, is designed well, and only uses premium materials. You've got a solid block of aluminum, some glass accents, and nice rubber padding on the bottom.

It comes in two colors, white or black. I went with black because I found that the white one does stain over time. Nomad also just released their fourth-generation ones, which support Qi2 up to 25 watts, which is pretty quick.

Just note that if you decide to go with this, you will need to buy another 40W adapter, which you can easily pick up on Amazon.

Nomad Screen Protector

Every year I use this kit, I get a perfect install and alignment.

Let's talk about what actually goes on your phone: screen protectors and cases. The screen protectors that I personally use are the ones from Nomad. Let me show you what they come with.

In the box, you get this—their application bracket. Every year when I use this Nomad kit to apply my screen protector, I always get a perfect install. No dust, no screen bubbles—just perfect install, perfect alignment every time. Simply drop your phone down into this bracket, peel off the protective sticker, drop it down like this, and you're good to go.

The screen protector itself is also crystal clear. It doesn't interfere with Face ID or anything like that. I've also noticed that it's really good with scratch resistance, and overall it's a really high-quality product that will last you years and years.

Nomad clear leather case with black Horween leather on an iPhone 18 Pro

Nomad Clear Leather Case

A clear case with black leather that looks fantastic with silver or Glacier.

Next up, we've got cases. This year, I think one of my favorite ones is this one right here: the Nomad clear leather case, which combines a clear case with a piece of leather on the back.

I've got to be honest: this just looks so clean with the silver iPhone. Check that out. I really love the contrasting colors with the black leather and the silver. It looks amazing, and it also feels amazing in the hand.

It's got some nice contrasting buttons as well—black buttons on the sides. This is what it looks like on the Glacier iPhone 18 Pro. It also just looks fantastic.

Protection Watch at 8:04

Casefinite Cloud Bumper

Honestly, I think this is the best-looking case this year.

Another one that I didn't expect to like this year, but that completely blew me away with how elegant it looks, is this: the Casefinite Cloud Bumper.

It's a bumper-style case, which means it has a completely open and exposed back. It looks so clean and sleek. Obviously, the appeal with these types of cases is how they don't cover up your phone. You get to appreciate how the iPhone actually looks while getting some corner protection, which is where your phone is dropping most of the time—the corners and the backs.

It's also got a raised section to protect the camera portion, which is nice. I think this style of case will work with any color iPhone that you have. I think this is honestly the best-looking case this year.

Nomad Modern Leather Case

An elegant, premium look with silver or black—just be careful around water.

Some other really fantastic picks here from Nomad: this is the modern leather case, and then this is the sport case.

The modern leather case is made from genuine leather, and you have to be careful around water with it. Other than that, it will patina really nicely, and it just smells fantastic. Oh, yeah.

I think this one will pair really nicely with silver or black. I'm not sure about burgundy or Glacier, but this is how it looks with silver: just a really elegant and premium look.

Nomad Sport Case

A sleek, minimal everyday case for somebody who appreciates a clean aesthetic.

The sport case is just a really good everyday case. It's really sleek and minimal. If you're somebody who appreciates a clean aesthetic, this is for you.

By the way, I'm using my 17 Pro to demo a lot of these cases because I think the silver goes along with a bunch of these colors. For example, with this modern leather case, if I threw in my Glacier color, I don't know about that. That just isn't working for me.

I think the move this year is: if you have Glacier or burgundy, go with maybe a more neutral-colored case, like the Cloud Bumper from Casefinite or the Nomad clear leather case. I think these will go really nicely with the colored iPhones. If you have a neutral-colored iPhone, honestly, you can go with anything. They will all look really good.

UAG Plasma XTE 360 case with kickstand for iPhone 18 Pro and 17 Pro in Black/Orange
Product photo Image: UAG
Protection Watch at 10:02

UAG Plasma XTE 360

My pick for the most protective case, with a portrait-and-landscape kickstand.

Last but not least, if you are really clumsy with your phones, go with the UAG Plasma XTE 360. This is my pick for the most protective case, and I also like how it looks.

It's got a nice kickstand for you to rest your phone in both portrait and landscape. The best thing about this case is that it is drop-protected up to 20 feet. If you're dropping your phone from more than 20 feet up, I don't know what to tell you. Good luck.

Surprisingly, for being a really protective case, it doesn't add that much weight or thickness to the phone. These are my favorite cases this year. Which one's your favorite?

Anker Soundcore AeroClip 2

The most impressive clip-on earbuds I've tested, especially for calls.

Next up, we have earbuds, and these are the most impressive clip-on earbuds I've tested. These are the Anker Soundcore AeroClip 2.

If you work from home, there might be a lot of important sounds: the doorbell ringing, the robot vacuum at your feet, or maybe you're cooking while you're on a call. Open-ear earbuds make a lot of sense because there's no ear tips. You can hear what's going on around you without having to remove an earbud or mess around with settings.

Probably the most impressive part about these earbuds is how they perform with calls. This is what it would normally sound like on a call, and this is what it sounds like on the Soundcore AeroClip 2. Pretty impressive, if I must say so myself.

They even hold the Guinness World Record for the clearest calls on open-ear earbuds. These use Anker's THUS AI chip, with four microphones and two bone-vibration sensors to help separate my voice from the background noise, which is perfect if you're taking calls on the go.

They're comfortable, lightweight, and secure on my ears. The case is compact and feels high quality, and the 12mm drivers sound really clear and detailed. They're also Apple MFi certified, and, as a bonus, all the colors match the iPhone 18 Pro this year. If you're interested, links will be down below in the description.

Peak Design Mobile Tripod

I use it every day to watch videos during lunch, and it's fantastic for FaceTime.

Next up, we've got this thing, and I probably use it every single day: the Peak Design MagSafe tripod. You can snap it to the back of your phone, unfold the legs, and now you have a tripod. It goes in portrait or landscape, and the best part is that you can position the phone however you'd like.

This is something I use every single day because during lunch, I'll unfold it and use it to watch videos on my phone. It's also fantastic for when I'm FaceTiming.

It is an extremely high-quality product, and the entire thing is pretty much made of metal. It also has a tiny hex tool that magnetizes to the case, so if you want to tweak the tension on the ball joint, you can do that.

I think Peak Design have really hit it on the head with this one. This is one of my favorite products from them. Although it is a little bit pricey, I do think this is another one of those buy-it-for-life products. For something I use every single day, this, to me, is completely worth it.

DJI Mic 3 wireless microphone kit with transmitters, receiver and charging case

DJI Mic 3

The best-sounding mini mic I've tested, and it's really improved my creator workflows.

One thing I picked up this year that I wish I picked up a year ago is this: the DJI Mic 3. For anybody who's interested in content creation or filmmaking, this is by far the number-one tiny mic. Here's why.

For one, you're listening to it right now. It sounds fantastic. It picks up the bass in my voice really well. It's clear, and honestly, it is the best-sounding mini mic that I've tested.

I've used this thing in a bunch of my Shorts content already. Also, in some of my unboxing videos, when I'm filming a product, I can get this mic as close to the action as possible. In my iPhone 18 Pro day-in-the-life video, I even used it while driving with the top down in my convertible. Wind was going everywhere, and it still picked up my voice crystal clear.

In that driving clip: “This car is mid-engined. That means the engine is right behind me.”

The mic itself is super tiny. It has a clip on the back, which also doubles as a magnet to clip onto your shirt. Here's the receiver: I can put on a USB-C adapter and use it with my iPhone just like this. But I can also take the adapter off, plug in the cable, and use it with my professional mirrorless camera.

Probably the best part is that everything fits inside this tiny case, including the accessories, and it charges everything. This mic setup has really improved my workflows as a content creator, and I couldn't recommend it enough.

Moment MagSafe Tripod Adapter

A really simple way to mount your phone onto a tripod; I've used it for at least four years.

To continue the path of filmmaking, here are a few more accessories from Moment. The first accessory is this MagSafe tripod adapter. It goes on the back of your phone, and you can screw the bottom down to your base plate on your tripod. Now you have a really simple way to mount your phone onto your tripod.

I've used this thing for at least four years now. If you're a filmmaker who likes to collect random pieces of gear for mounting and that sort of thing, this is a must-have in your kit.

Moment 58mm T-Series Telephoto Lens

It looks ridiculous on a phone, but the results are incredible.

The first accessory is this lens: a 58mm telephoto lens from Moment. As you can see, it is absolutely gigantic compared to your phone. It actually looks ridiculous on a phone, but the results are incredible.

This lens really softens the look from the built-in iPhone lens. It gives your phone a little more character and a little bit more of a look. It also gives your footage more depth, so a little more background blur, and overall looks more cinematic.

Moment QuickLock Variable ND Filter, 2–5 Stops

It clicks onto the case so I can slow my shutter speed down when filming in daylight.

Last but not least, we have the QuickLock filter from Moment. It's a variable ND that goes straight onto this case. It clicks into place.

With this on, if you're shooting in daylight, you can slow down your shutter speed and get a really nice cinematic blur. Again, just really quality-maxing your iPhone. If you are more serious about your iPhone filming, this is a must-have.
